DIETARY AIDE JOB SUMMARY
The dietary aide will assist the dietary manager is food preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They will help make sure that the residents are getting the food that is correct to their diet.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE DIETARY AIDE
- Prepare meals following specific procedures.
- Ensure food safety procedures are followed, including hygiene procedures.
- Take inventory of kitchen supplies and food items.
- Stay current on individual procedures and protocols for the facility, including state-specified rules and regulations.
- Assist with cleaning the kitchen, including kitchen supplies and plates, forks, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Previous food service experience preferred.
- Must be able to work days and weekends.
- High School Diploma
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
