Position Summary
To maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Primary Functions
- Ensures spaces are prepared for the next day by removing trash, organizing common areas and dusting surfaces.
- Sweeps and mops floors and vacuums carpets and rugs.
- Cleans and sanitizes toilets and sinks, wipes mirrors and windows and mops floors.
- Orders and restocks cleaning supplies and disposables.
- Reports damages and items for replacement.
- Consults about cleaning items or areas outside normal duties.
- Assumes additional duties as requested by the Supervisor.
- Supports the QMS by adhering to the system requirements.
Key Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Self-directed. Works well with minimal supervision.
- Practices safe working behaviors.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate efforts with the overall shift goals established by the Supervisor.
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
- Ability to pack on all machines.
Physical Requirements:

Environment: Normal manufacturing environments; work with machinery and media in or around confined spaces; exposure to chemicals, grease and oils. Standing and walking almost 100 percent of the time.
Physical: Sufficient physical ability to perform light lifting and carrying; reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing; standing for prolonged periods of time. May be required to lift up to 55 lbs. to the height of 4 feet and up to 20 lbs. to a height of 7 feet. May be required to carry, push or pull up to 55 pounds. Must be able to routinely climb/descend stairs, ladders, and similar elevations. Must be able to operate a forklift.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer
screens and printed documents.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Other: Travel by automobile and commercial transportation. Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.
