Diesel Mechanic Helper Job Summary
We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic Helper to join our team at Altorfer CAT. As a key member of our support staff, you will assist skilled technicians with various tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of our shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled technicians with jobs, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, attachments, and components, adhering to scheduled service intervals.
- Locate and utilize service literature and/or technical information as required.
- Complete service reports accurately and maintain organized records.
- Assist with maintaining shop equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Requirements
- Two years of experience in hands-on mechanical repair work on diesel or gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, or earthmoving/industrial equipment.
- Related certification from an accredited technical school, community college, or training program is also acceptable.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Able to lift 100 lbs, push/pull with 60lbs of force, and work in a fast-paced environment.
