Overview
Perform in the field service repairs on construction equipment. This position covers the construction market in the following Missouri territory . Counties include, but not limited to : Randolph, Macon, Adair, Monroe, and Shelby county .
Basic Duties
Perform service and repairs on construction equipment in the field for Altorfer's customers.
- Troubleshoot and repair engine, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems.
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner to find diagnostic errors, technical problems, and determine proper solutions.
- Establish and maintain a service oriented relationship with customers and supervisors.
- Order parts in equipment parts books or online.
- Complete service reports and all other paperwork before and after repairs are made.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
This position works in a field environment primarily at customer jobsites. This position will spend a good portion of time being outdoors working in fields, exposed to elements of weather, dust and dirt. May work in an office environment and travel to customer's work sites. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 75-100lbs. Must be able to climb / operate machinery and various types of equipment. Will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields, hearing protection, etc.) for a given situation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
