What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychologist (Weekend, part-time, hybrid) position at Altos Federal Group, Inc?
Altos Federal Group is actively seeking a talented and licensed Psychologist to fulfil services at our RSC/CSOSA facility. This person shall provide 60 minute psychotherapy group sessions utilizing evidenced based interventions to change behavior and dysfunctional thinking for 9 hours a week. We anticipate an additional 11-15 hours for note taking, uploading as well as preparation for sessions and interdisciplinary meetings. There will be approximately 20-24 hours devoted a week to this position. The preferred schedule will be a selection of 3 weekday shifts completing 2 sessions per day Mon-Fri between the hours of 10AM-3PM to begin psychotherapy sessions which will run 60 minutes or Weekend shifts which will include 3 sessions per day of psychotherapy group sessions. Interdisciplinary sessions must be completed during the weekday and will be conducted remotely at the hours determined by the contracting officials. This psychotherapy must be intense, and provide cognitive behavioral interventions that are designed to reduce the likelihood of reoffending.
The RSC Psychotherapy Group Services program will meet the needs of high-risk offenders with extensive substance abuse histories. Treatment readiness and motivation is the focus of each of the interventions offered at the RSC. This evidence-based intervention is structured to address one or more of the factors identified as a particular challenge to an offender's successful reentry and long-term recovery from substance abuse. These factors may include psychiatric distress, substance abuse, cognitive impairments, protracted withdrawal, poor attachment/social bonding, and extensive criminality.
The person/persons hired for this role shall ensure that each group session has clearly defined topics, goals and objectives that are designed to assist offenders with developing more adaptive strategies to improve their thinking and behavior. Group topics shall be in the categories of psychodynamic, cognitive behavior therapy, humanistic and integrated psychotherapy.
Requirements

Be a citizen of the United States of America or be lawfully permitted to reside in the United States and possess a valid work permit.

Be at least 21 years of age and must be able to withstand the physical demands of the job and be capable of responding to emergency situations.

Be able to clear the CSOSA background investigation.

Be able to speak English fluently and read and write the English language. e. Maintain current, full, and unrestricted licensure, where applicable.

Be deemed drug free by the Contractor before being hired to perform services under this purchase order.

Submit to random drug testing by the Contractor, for which the Contractor shall provide the test results to CSOSA upon request.

A PhD. or PsyD. in clinical or counseling psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.

A full, current, and unrestricted license to practice clinical psychology or counseling psychology at the doctoral level in the District of Columbia, or a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.

At least three years of verifiable work experience as a licensed counseling psychologist or licensed clinical psychologist.

At least three years of verifiable work experience presenting findings, preparing reports for adults in forensics setting.

Experience working with offenders is preferred.
