Job Title: Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

What We're Looking For: Altra Homecare Group is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants. In this role, you will deliver essential personal care services tailored to support the independence and quality of life of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient laundry and ensure cleanliness when necessary.
- Provide timely and accurate medication reminders.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, monitoring their overall well-being.
- Communicate and report significant changes in the patient’s condition to the supervisor.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding, as needed.
- Monitor and document patient temperature and other vital signs.
- Support patients with ambulation and mobility needs.
- Conduct range of motion exercises and facilitate simple physical activities to promote health.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of care activities.
- Adhere to privacy policies and infection control guidelines to ensure patient safety.
- Provide assistance with bathing and other personal hygiene needs.
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Offer companionship services, including letter-writing, reading, and social interaction.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
- Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in caregiving or a similar field.
- Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care activities accurately.
- Willingness to comply with all State and Federal training requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week

- Weekends as needed
