Company DescriptionA dynamic and diverse electronics company that designs and manufactures a broad spectrum of products, such as managed PoE products, embedded controllers and media converters, power supplies, video transceivers seeks an individual to join its creative team.Job DescriptionCreation of site layout / user interface from provided design conceptsDevelopment of robust and user-friendly applications.Relational database development (MySQL).Routine maintenance of existing sites and applications.Problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills.Write well designed, testable, scalable and efficient code by using best software development practices.Create website layout / user interfaceIntegrate data from various back-end services and databases.Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.Stay plugged into emerging technologies / industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.QualificationsQualifications / Requirements : 5 years of web development, using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, SQL preferred.Candidates should have proven web programming experience as well as a solid understanding of Object Oriented Design and Programming.Deep understanding and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript,Understanding and practical experience with MVC frameworks such as Laravel.Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST) is needed.A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout / user interface to relational database structures.Strong grasp of security principles.Must have a strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.Understanding the benefits of SEO and the development skills to support SEO are a plus.Ability to communicate directly with peers and managers.Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of projects' timelines and requirements.Additional Information Schedule : Full-time (Monday-Friday, 9am-5 : 00pm), on-siteBenefits : We offer a full benefits packageSalary : In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the annual salary for this position ranges from $65,000.00 to $70,000.00.
