The Supervisor Preservice Access is responsible for administering, coordinating, and reviewing performance for areas of Pre-Service such as Pre-Visit Management, Pre-Registration, Pre-Authorization, Referral Management and Financial Clearance position oversees appropriate staff to complete Quality Reviews and productivity tracking. This leader seeks to identify and implement new and emerging strategies to increase efficiency, improve processes, and enhance the patient experience. To ensure goals are being achieved, the Supervisor works with other leaders and stakeholders throughout the organization.Essential Job Functions:
Develops and implements short and long-range goals for departments and is responsible for measurable outcomes and effective use of resources. Responsible for program and service development in response to both internal and external stakeholders.
Recruits, develops, retains and leads a talented team staff committed to accomplishing the goals of department. Oversees all human resource activities including recruitment, retention, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. Develops, revises and implements administrative policies, procedures, guidelines and job descriptions.
Analyzes denials data to identify trends and shares findings to drive process improvements. Communicates with staff to prevent future denials. Refers patients accounts to Financial Counselors, as needed. Manages technical ticket submissions and works closely with Information Services to enhance, build and optimize the EMR system.
Helps the department and meets capital and operating budget targets by seeking out operational efficiencies and involves employees and physicians in workforce redesign.
Develops, revises and implements administrative policies, procedures, guidelines and job descriptions. Acts as a mentor and promotes professional growth of employees. Takes responsibility for personal growth and development and meets all system education requirements.
Utilizes the Financial Clearance Report, Upfront Collections, and Front End Productivity reports to drive accountability and metrics review with staff.
Ensures all referral information is accurately entered into appropriate systems. Communicates with providers regarding referral or complications with insurance coverage and informs Medical Director or patient regarding referral authorization and further care plans.
Ensures quality reviews and productivity standards are updated and reviewed with staff. Provides feedback to staff based on the quality reviews completed by the Nurse Coordinator. Works with the trainer to develop tip sheets, training guides, and any other supplement data to help staff.
Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
