Job Description
The Altru Health team is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our ICU department. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily rounds on all patients to ensure quality customer service and coordinate action on any unmet requirements.
- Develop a plan of care based on assessment that reflects the patient's physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.
- Assess the patient's condition and nursing needs, set goals, and prescribe appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the patient's physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
- Identify early warning signs of a change in a patient's condition and respond appropriately, including contacting responsible clinicians as indicated by standard operating procedure.
- Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate multidisciplinary team member and record those observations accurately and concisely.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or Compact State Agreement prior to start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA) within 90 days of start date.
- Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) certification from American Association of Critical-Care Nurses preferred.
