About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Associate to join our ICU team at Altru Health. This individual will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support healthcare professionals by obtaining and documenting relevant patient information.
- Maintain accurate records of unit supply inventory and ensure timely ordering of necessary equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to perform testing procedures, adhering to established standards and guidelines.
- Develop expertise in preparing sterile environments for invasive procedures and handle sensitive medical equipment with care.
- Ensure safe transportation of patients within the hospital or external facilities, working closely with relevant staff members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 1 year of related experience is preferred.
- Prior certification as a Nurse Aide is highly valued; new hires must obtain this certification within 4 months of employment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory within 90 days of hire.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and bending/stooping. Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds may be required. Most of the workday will be spent indoors, with rare outdoor tasks.
