The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include performing assessments, documenting patient information, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop effective care plans.

Key Job Functions:

• Assists registered nurses and licensed practitioners in identifying patient needs and prioritizing care.
• Demonstrates competency in department-specific functions and performs duties as assigned.
• Contributes to the implementation of an integrated patient-centered care plan.
• Assigns or delegates nursing interventions to other staff members.
• Reports early warning signs of patient condition changes and implements timely nursing interventions.
• Communicates patient information effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Participates in health education approved by licensed practitioners.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Licensed Practical Nurse: Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• BLS Certification: American Heart Association.
