Job Description
">As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer at Altru Health, you will be responsible for operating and adjusting ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of the heart and its functioning.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Set up and operate ultrasound equipment to produce detailed images of the heart muscle and blood flow.
- Record and analyze cardiac data, including measurements and patient information.
- Communicate effectively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Identify potential cardiac anomalies, diseases, and clinical information, and communicate this to the treating physician.
- Assist with various procedures, such as transesophageal echocardiograms and dobutamine stress tests.
Requirements
">- A minimum of an Associate's degree in Cardiac Sonography or a related field.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification within 18 months of start date.
- Prior experience in cardiac sonography, with a preference for at least one year of related experience.
