Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing diagnostic evaluations and assessments. They will develop treatment plans and provide short and long-term therapy and referrals. The Mental Health Specialist will maintain knowledge of psychiatric medications and identify significant changes or high-risk situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive treatment plan and review assessment information with each patient to identify their needs, issues, care goals, termination, and continuing care options.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments, diagnostic impressions, counseling, and referrals for individuals, couples, families, or groups using various therapeutic approaches.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with referral sources, providers, and other caregivers regarding patient care.
- Collaborate with community resources to deliver services that promote quality outcomes and continuity of care.
Certification Requirements:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Dakota prior to start date
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota within 12 months of start date
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in North Dakota prior to start date
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota within 12 months of start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of start date
Working Conditions:
This position requires occasional driving and frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, handling, and seeing. The employee must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and work in an indoor environment.
