Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Altru Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses or other licensed practitioners in identifying patient needs, prioritizing care, and setting goals based on patient characteristics.
- Evaluate the plan of care by gathering, observing, recording, and communicating patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Modify the plan of care in collaboration with licensed practitioners.
- Demonstrate competency and ability to carry out department-specific functions in accordance with departmental standards of care, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure from the Minnesota Board of Nursing prior to start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of start date.
Work Environment
This position requires frequent standing, walking, stooping/bending, reaching, and handling/finger/feel tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 40 pounds, push/pull medium-weight objects, and work in indoor environments with minimal extreme temperatures.
