About the Job:
The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the organization. The nurse maintains the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily rounds on all patients, ensuring quality customer service by coordinating and taking action on any requirements not met.
- Develop a plan of care based on assessment that reflects the patient's physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.
- Assess the patient's condition and nursing needs, set goals, and prescribe appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of the patient, including discharge planning.
- Identify early warning signs of a change in a patient's condition and respond appropriately, contacting responsible clinicians as indicated by standard operating procedure.
- Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate multidisciplinary team member and record those observations accurately and concisely.
Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or Compact State Agreement
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of start date
- Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) certification preferred
Requirements:
- Temporary RN license accepted prior to start date
- ND RN Graduate Work Authorization considered prior to start date
- Must hold an unencumbered nursing license prior to start date
