Job Description
Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : Weekend Nightshift (3x12s-Fri / Sat / Sun)
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience
License : Registered Nurse | Board of Nursing or Compact State Agreement | Required prior to start
Certifications :
- Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association | Within 90 days of start
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) | Within 6 months of start
- Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) | Preferred
Must-Have :
Temporary RN license accepted prior to startGraduate Work Authorization considered prior to start, valid up to 90 days or upon NCLEX resultsMust hold an unencumbered nursing license prior to startJob Description :
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.Maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.Facilitate coordination of patient care within the interdisciplinary team and provide patient education for safe discharge.Perform daily rounds on all patients to ensure quality customer service and address unmet needs.Develop a plan of care based on assessment addressing physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.Assess patient's condition and nursing needs, setting goals and prescribing appropriate nursing actions.Address and reassess patient's self-reported symptoms of pain promptly, taking appropriate action.Identify early warning signs of a patient's condition change and respond appropriately, including contacting clinicians.Assist with or initiate emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patient conditions.Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate team members, ensuring timely interventions or referrals.Establish and maintain communication, utilizing educational opportunities with patients and families.Begin discharge planning, education, and counseling early to optimize patient / family understanding.Evaluate and document care provided according to standard procedures.Delegate nursing interventions within the scope of practice, education, and experience, ensuring safe performance.Perform other duties as assigned to meet departmental and organizational needs.Note : Holiday coverage is required. Bilingual not necessary. Electronic Medical Records system used : EPIC.
