*Job Overview*
We are seeking 3 Certified Peer Specialists to join our team. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide support and assistance to individuals facing addiction challenges by sharing your own lived experiences and offering guidance. You will be working at a sober living facility on an 8-hour shift to assist individuals with substance use disorders in recovery.
*Duties*
- Utilize your personal experience to provide peer support and advocacy to individuals in need
- Assist individuals in setting and achieving recovery goals
- Conduct individual or group sessions to promote mental wellness
- Conduct house meetings
- Conduct in house A.A./N.A. Meetings
- Provide classes on skill building techniques
- Ensure all clients are following policies and rules and regulations outlined in the client manual.
- Collaborate with treatment teams to develop and implement care plans
- Provide crisis intervention and support during challenging situations
- Offer mentorship and guidance based on your own recovery journey
*Requirements*
- Certification as a Peer Specialist for addiction
- Have direct experience in working at a sober living facility
- Have at least 2 years of continued sobriety
- Proficiency in systems related to addiction
- Experience or knowledge in social work and addiction counseling.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles
- Ability to effectively engage in crisis management and intervention
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques
- Familiarity with recovery dynamics techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $15.86 - $16.24 per hour
