This role :
The Manager - Specialty Pharmacy plays a critical role with our patients and clinic partners. Reporting to the DOO, you will oversee the daily operations of a pharmacy, as well as the specialty pharmacy programs and partnerships with our manufacturers. This includes managing our data and enhanced services information through a patient therapy management system.
You will build strong relationships with our clinic partner and with the community we serve. You will also manage a high-performing team and will help coach and develop your team as the pharmacy continues to grow.
Schedule :
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, no nights, no weekends, no major holidays!
Main Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for specialty pharmacy services and teams
- Develop, implement and manage policies and procedures to enhance clinical pharmacy programs using patient therapy management system (Framework MI) across platform
- Provides oversight of pharmaceutical manufacturer programs
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management
- Ensure medication use is aligned with evidence-based best practices and regulatory standards
- Maintaining the specialty pharmacy business in accordance with departmental standards, internal and external reporting requirements, accreditation standards, and pharmacy laws and regulations
- Ensure all prescriptions are input, filled and dispensed accurately, timely and within budget
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels to ensure operation runs smoothly within budget
- Oversee workflow; identify problem areas and implement process improvements
- Contribute to production by working as a pharmacist as required
- Creates a great consumer and clinic partner experience and continually builds relationships with both groups to proactively meet their needs
- Ensures operations of the pharmacy and team members follow policies and standards in accordance with state and federal laws
- Responsible for financial profitability and identifies opportunities to drive growth in the pharmacy
- Motivates, develops and coaches all pharmacy staff to ensure they are meeting their potential and delivering exceptional service
- Creates an engaging team environment which promotes compassion and models our core values and culture amongst the team
- Builds relationships with the community, stakeholders, and clinic partners to ensure we are meeting all needs and promote the pharmacy business
