We are seeking a seasoned, mission-aligned Venture Partner to lead our Diagnostics & Life Science Tools syndicate. This role offers a unique opportunity to capitalize on a robust pipeline of proprietary and vetted deals, and to engage a strong base of existing LPs who are eager to co-invest and actively contribute as expert advisors.

The ideal candidate is a sector-focused investor or operator with deep domain knowledge, a track record in sourcing or evaluating diagnostic and life science tool companies, and the ability to lead collaborative due diligence and post-investment value creation.

• Lead ALTs Club’s Diagnostics & Tools syndicate, with full visibility into our existing deal flow and founder relationships
• Evaluate and present high-quality, IP-rich investment opportunities to member LPs
• Build co-investment memos and diligence narratives in partnership with our research team and expert network
• Drive syndicate execution from sourcing to close, leveraging our platform's backend and investor tools
  

• Work directly with our network of experienced LPs who are also operators, clinicians, scientists, or healthcare executives
• Organize and lead collaborative diligence sprints, leveraging LP expertise to stress-test investment theses
• Foster a culture of post-investment engagement and value creation through board participation, advisory input, and strategic network access
  

• Contribute deep insights into emerging trends in diagnostics and tools, including next-gen sequencing, liquid biopsy, point-of-care testing, omics, lab automation, and AI-driven platforms
• Collaborate with the ALTs Club research function to publish thought leadership and intelligence reports
• Represent ALTs Club at industry events, LP roundtables, and virtual convenings
  

• 5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, equity research, venture capital, private equity, or a strategic operator role within the diagnostics or tools sector
• Deep familiarity with clinical diagnostics, research platforms, and translational life sciences
• A proven ability to evaluate companies and structure deals with scientific, regulatory, and commercial rigor
• Strong communication skills and gravitas to engage both founders and sophisticated capital partners
• A collaborative mindset and desire to build—this is a leadership role with entrepreneurial latitude
