Responsibilities:
- Implement Therapy Plans: Follow instructions from the supervisor or Behavior Analyst to carry out therapy sessions with clients.
- Assist Clients: Help clients engage in learning activities, follow routines, and practice skills outlined in their therapy plan.
- Collect Data: Record observations about client behavior during sessions using simple forms or apps provided by the supervisor.
- Communicate with Supervisor: Report any changes or concerns about the client's progress or behavior to the supervisor.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the therapy environment is safe and conducive to learning, and assist with any necessary cleanup or organization.
- Engage in Training: Participate in training sessions provided by the employer to learn more about ABA principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Build Rapport: Develop a positive relationship with clients to facilitate trust and cooperation during therapy sessions.
- Follow Ethical Guidelines: Adhere to ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Seek Guidance: Ask questions and seek clarification from the supervisor when unsure about how to handle specific situations or behaviors.
- Support Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, such as therapists, teachers, and parents, to ensure consistency in implementing therapy goals
Experience:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with special education principles and practices
- Experience implementing behavioral therapy interventions
- Have the ability to complete record keeping
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Associates degree or higher
- One year of ABA experience preferred (willing to train new individuals)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 28 per week
