Teacher Job Requirements
International Baccalaureate & Collaboration

  • Four-day school week for students, and teacher collaboration and planning on Fridays
  • Teaches and educates students according to guidelines provided by the International

Baccalaureate (IB) and the Idaho State Common Core

  • Researches and understands the International Baccalaureate philosophy and curriculum at high levels
  • Creates a strong classroom community using the International Baccalaureate Profile
  • Plans, prepares and delivers lessons at instructional levels, mainly in small group instruction
  • Collaborates with colleagues and writes high level unit planners
  • Plans and prepares project-based units
  • Builds strong relationships in the community and creates connections for the benefit of the school and community

Classroom Environment & Communication

  • Students are taught at instructional levels, therefore classes are multi-age
  • Promotes the academic and social progress and well-being of individual students, groups of students and the community of the classroom
  • Maintains strong classroom and school discipline among students
  • Analyzes data, assesses, records and reports on the development, progress, academic achievement and behavior of students
  • Provides continual feedback to parents on their child’s progress and needs
  • Communicates, consults and cooperates with other members of the school staff and parents to ensure the best interests of all students are met
  • Maintains a well-organized, clutter free, clean and orderly classroom

Academic Practices

  • Utilizes data following a careful review and effectively administers interventions
  • Advises and collaborates with the leadership team and other teachers in the preparation and development of the curriculum, teaching materials and methods of teaching and assessments
  • Review, reflect and evaluates one’s own teaching and learning strategies and methodologies

Job Requirements
Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with required endorsements or equivalent; or Idaho Department of Education Certification or the ability to obtain one via alternative route.

Salary Pay: Depending on experience and education

Benefits- Medical, dental, vision, life insurance and public employees’ retirement system (PERSI) are provided to classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more regular position and to certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.
