- This position will cover 2 clinic locations. The clinics are located at Shoal Creek Rd and Davis Lane.*
Patient Care
- Greet patients in a professional and welcoming manner both in person and on the phone
- May take vital signs as directed by the on site RN/LVN and record findings in AIMS
- Assists in controlling patient flow in conjunction with site clinician, i.e. greeting and room patients
- Cleans infusion chairs between patients and at the end of the day
- Prep charts for scheduled infusions
- Obtains all necessary patient records as required by treatment protocol, which may include clinic EMR or outside resources
- Appropriately communicates with physicians, staff, patients and Altus colleagues through various methods (i.e. phone, EMR, chat, email)
- Works the unscheduled patient report for the assigned site and attends weekly collaboration meeting to ensure all patients are scheduled timely
- Assists with scheduling appointments for patients
- Assist with ordering of medical supplies
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- One year of experience in a pediatric medical assistant role
- Active BLS or CPR certification
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Proficient in Google G-Suite
