The Opportunity
 

Altus Group has an immediate opening for a Cost Analyst within our Development Advisory team in Vancouver. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and connections within the development industry and engage in end-to-end cost consulting for high-profile construction projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor construction projects to ensure alignment with budgets and loan requirements.

• Tracking and reporting deviations from project budgets and schedules.

• Analyze data for loan monitoring reports for lenders and stakeholders.

• Produce estimates and measures for analysis of change orders and construction costs.

• Review and verify payment requests and cost documentation.

• Communicate effectively with project teams, lenders, and clients.

• Coordinating construction and development information between borrowers and lenders.

• Conduct field reviews and site inspections to evaluate the progress of work.

Key Requirements:

• A recent graduate (or 1-2 years of experience) in Architectural Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Construction Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of construction costs, materials, and project lifecycles (internship or academic project experience counts!).

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and building measurement software (training on specialized software provided).

• Eagerness to learn and grow in cost consulting.
