An Altus Schools Education Specialist's role includes: 1) support for the instructional program for students with special needs 2) maintaining and creating accurate records for special education students 3) on-going student assessment and evaluation 4) on-going planning with instructional staff Valid California preliminary or clear Education Specialist Credential Mild/Moderate or Extensive Support Needs (Moderate/Severe) Full English Learner Authorization Valid California driver license and transportation required Pass a work styles/ behavior survey and math assessment Clear background check by the Department of Justice and FBI TB Clearance
