What You Will Do
Customer Service
- Assess and address customer complaints in a timely manner
- Supervise Sales Order / PO entries and shipments (daily)
- Identify and address any Sales Order / PO discrepancies with appropriate parties
- Resolve any discrepancy with customers from incoming set audits
- Inform customers of shipment delays / backorders
- Customer (distributor / hospital) on-boarding
Logistics
- Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and organization of the inventory and shipping areas. All finished goods, implants, and instruments must be properly stored, labeled and uploaded into GSS with accurate counts of all locations in real time basis.
- Ensure 100% of leased / loaned material is audited upon return
- Maintain and Manage Inventory Field Audits
- Improve inventory management processes
- Manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles, including coordination or provisioning of samples, and the minimization of obsolescence.
- Stay informed of logistics technology advances and applying appropriate technology in order to improve logistics processes. Must understand GSS transactions fully.
Purchasing
- Forecasting: develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met to avoid back orders and disruption to customers.
- Coordinate with Customer Service on needed rush items / backorders
- Create Production Plans for new and upcoming builds
- Ensure the delivery for required products to schedule
Team Leadership Management
- Lead and mentor a team
- Communicate effectively with senior management and leadership team on progress, issues and outcomes of the Operations Departments
- Coordinate with other Altus departments to develop and improve current SOP’s to increase efficiency and organize workflow.
- Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity.
- 24/7 availability by phone mandatory to answer any set movement or “build” questions.
Who You Are
Must Haves
- 5 years Medical (Spine) Device manufacturing
- 5 years warehouse / distribution management experience
- 3-5 years Management experience
- Background with various ERP systems
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP functions (i.e. Global Shop).
- Knowledge of MS Office and Project Management software is required.
- Familiar with inventory management best practices.
- Open minded attitude toward performing a variety of tasks to assist with the day-to-day functionality of the company, the Executive Staff and CEO.
- Experience in medical devices, logistics, labeling and shipping a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, problem solving and motivation skills.
