Description
At Altus Technology Solutions, we are looking for an experienced Local Installer (SA 2) to support mission-critical IT operations for government programs. Our team is committed to ensuring peak system performance, security, and reliability for critical national security initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage daily IT system operations, including monitoring, problem resolution, and optimizing resource utilization.
- Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) IT issues.
- Provide direct support for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and dispatch system hardware.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installation and troubleshooting.
- Optimize system operations, conduct capacity planning, and implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Assist users in accessing and using IT systems effectively.
- Communicate escalations and system status updates to agency management and internal customers.
- Provide in-depth troubleshooting for IT systems and hardware-related issues.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, performing system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
Qualifications
- Active U.S. DoD Security Clearance Required
- 10 years of experience as a System Administrator (SA) on projects of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline OR five (5) additional years of SA experience in lieu of a degree
- DoD 8570 Compliance Security CE
- Experience managing enterprise IT systems and projects
- Hands-on experience with multiple system domains at various security classification levels
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with IT infrastructure, including network components, storage systems, and client/server environments
Specialized Experience
- Provide IT systems implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve Tier 1 (Help Desk) problems.
- Manage daily IT system operations and configurations.
- Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Provide Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification and resolution.
- Monitor and resolve client/server/storage/network device issues.
- Communicate system status updates and escalations to management.
- Optimize system performance and resource utilization.
- Provide in-depth IT system troubleshooting and analysis.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
