What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ohio BMV clerk position at Alum Creek License Agency?
Looking for a reliable individual ready to provide excellent customer service to the public on a full-time schedule!
We provide Bureau of Motor Vehicle Services to the citizens of Ohio. Mainly including driver's licenses and vehicle registrations. While this sounds mundane with only 2 services listed, there are a multitude of facets involved with these, along with a few other services we provide, and this can make the job very interesting and challenging!
This position will include 4 days during the week, and every Saturday from 8-2. We start at a training rate of $15.00/hr and after clearing your 60-day probationary period, you will receive an increase of $0.50/hr.
An FBI/BCI background check is required, which will be done and paid for by us upon hiring but will be deducted from pay if the 60-day probationary period is not met. There are also a few different, on-site state-required trainings to be completed before you can begin working.
*While we provide government services, this is not a government employee position. You will work for the individual license agency which is a small business.
