Maintenance

Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Machine Maintenance Manager the Machine Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair and keeping plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good working condition. Knowledge of and skill to work with mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, robots, CNC machining, welding, electrical systems & etc. Install, replace, or repair pumps, maintain fluid collection or distribution or repair electro-mechanical equipment. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, O.E.M. instructions and specifications.

Qualifications: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, and 3 or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining and administering a preventative maintenance program for all machines and equipment by working closely with production to schedule and accomplish equipment and facility repairs.
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance work performed and inventory.
• Provides long term solutions and day-to-day support to all operation teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc. This will include dismantling machines, replacing defective parts, reassembling machines, making necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation etc.
• Will collaborate with predetermined Warranty coverage/Service Technician on production machinery and equipment.
• Works with limited technical guidance and may provide work training to less experienced staff.
• May occasionally make replacement parts.
• Performs maintenance tasks to support production.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to Supervisor or Manager.
• Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs and/or breakdown of production equipment.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Keep up on technological changes such as retrofitting machinery to meet today's new laws and efficiency standards.
• Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Must be able to lift 50lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. force frequently.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours.
• Must be able to use hands to handle or feel; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and ability to use a step stool.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, depth and peripheral vision.
