Your primary responsibility will be carrying out the company’s goals relating to manufacturing process planning and maintenance of manufacturing data on our products.                                       ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support all activities of product development for new and/or existing jobs, with primary focus on New Product Introduction (NPI). Create and develop process routings including supporting documentation needed to support NPI following departmental best practices. Review and understand customer specifications, ensure customer requirements are properly captured and flow down to stakeholders including external vendors for product subcontracting. Responsible for supporting execution of manufacturing process validations, process FMEA’s and other elements associated with validation plans, when required. Works with Production Planning team to determine and maintain manufacturing costs and time standards. Provides recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Develops, analyzes, and improves manufacturing methods. Support Engineering Change Request process by entering, managing and completing workflow actions assigned to department. Support implementing solutions to various problems experienced in production. Support working with all departments to overcome day-to-day challenges. Assists with resolution of customer, technical and quality issues.  Participates and leads in Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) when necessary. Implements and carries out LEAN, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and 6S projects. Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, improvements relating to quality, safety, and efficiency. Ensures adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including our code of conduct and ethics policy, product safety, employee safety and cultural beliefs. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by department manager to meet company goals   MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering-Mechanical / Manufacturing / Material Science / Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years’ experience in engineering and/or manufacturing environment. Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements. In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person (U.S. Person = a natural person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Forging experience. Aluminum and/or Titanium metallurgy. CMM experience a plus. NDT (Penetrant and Ultrasonic Inspection) experience a plus. Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt a plus. Strong working knowledge of Statistical Analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other Six Sigma Tools a plus.     Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Understands LEAN manufacturing principles. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment; experience with an ERP system (e.g. IFS) 3D modeling experience with CATIA and/or SolidWorks. Familiarity with the aerospace industry and various commercial product lines. Proficiency in GD&T and Blue Print reading. Demonstrated leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the company executives, managers, and staff. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Work requires interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. Ability to be a team player, works well as a member of a group. Ability to work independently while meeting commitments and established deadlines. Outstanding written and oral communication skills for internal and external customer contact. Demonstrated ability to apply critical thought to develop, recommend and implement strategies and programs that address company and departmental objectives. Strong project management, organizational, analytical and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities. Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methods to ensure appropriate application and analysis of data. Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills. Displays a strong ability to analyze issues and solve problems. Effectively applies rational, data driven solutions to difficult situations.   In lieu of the above, any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the aforementioned knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered at the Company’s discretion. Compensation: $67,000 - $88,000 a year. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
