What we need:
We are looking for a PRESS LOADER that can start working right away. We will train a person to safely load, remove, and transport stock/parts for the forging operation. Position involves continuous rotation, holding the hot part with tongs and placing it on the die for the press, removing pressed parts and placing into basket.
Job Requirements:
Work safe and maintain an organized, lean work environment.
Strong commitment to good attendance and being on time is critical as Press Loaders are vital to our operation.
Perform the press set-up.
Load stock/parts into the adjacent conveyor oven.
Check stock and die temperatures before forging parts.
Position the piece accordingly into the forging die with use of tongs, hydraulic clamps, air-assisted hoist and/or overhead crane.
Retrieve the forged part from the die and place into etch basket.
Maintain accurate part-counts of current production.
Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per job-specific travelers.
On-the-job training will be provided for this position.
Skill Requirements:
Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time.
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person
English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension)
Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines.
Will stand on feet 80% of the time and work in area that can exceed 90F throughout the work year.
Position involves constant rotation to move parts from press to basket.
Ability to frequently lift parts that can exceed 30 lbs. to and from press using material handling equipment for assistance
Compensation: $19.00 - $20.00 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
