Summary Of Position: Responsible for administration, implementation of the Plant Safety and health with strong Environmental Compliance knowledge.
Principal Duties and Functions:
A. Indoctrination Training and Development.
1. New-Employee Indoctrination (Individuals and Group).
2. Training/Development Needs Identification.
3. Training Program Development.
4. Training Program Administration:
a. Safety Training
B. Communication.
1. Employee Complaint Procedure Coordination.
2. House Organizational Publishing assistance as required (Newsletters, Magazines, etc.).
3. Bulletin Board Maintenance and Control. (OSHA Log Report).
C. Government Regulations: Compliance.
1. Communication/Interpretation of Regulations; Counseling, Record-keeping, and Report Preparation:
2. OSHA/IOSHA
3. EPA/IDEM Compliance.
4. U.S. DOT/IDOT Compliance.
5. Department of Homeland Security, Indiana & Federal.
6. Company Policies and Procedures as required.
7. Conduct job safety analysis and Work Risk Analysis.
8. Stormwater Compliance
D. Personnel Record Maintenance.
1. Personnel EHS and DOT Training Record File Maintenance.
2. MS Access Training Database management, updates, corrections, and monitoring.
3. Accident investigations, worker's comp experience.
F. Employee Health and Safety.
1. OSHA/IOSHA Training
2. OSHA/IOSHA inspections, corrections, and communication.
Position Requirements:
1. Ability to work well with management personnel, other employees, and customers.
2. Administration skills.
3. Some mechanical aptitude, equipment familiarization, computer operations, and general math is helpful.
4. Self-Starter with good time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision to meet required deadlines.
Minimum Education or Experience:
1. College Degree or at least (3) years experience with emphasis on environmental in a manufacturing environment. Title V experience preferred. Foundry experience is a plus.
2. Works well with others, good communication, organizational and administrative skills.
3. Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
