Locum Physician

General Medicine Provider

VES, a Maximus company, is seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation and Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Compensation and Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
• Conduct primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment
• Use Goniometer and be familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular conditions
• Evaluate and diagnose respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions using METs testing
• Complete standardized forms in VES's provider portal within 48 hours of exam completion

Requirements:

• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Orthopedic Surgery
• Background in General Medicine or experience with Compensation and Pension
• Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular conditions
• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
• Ability to use Goniometer

Compensation:

• Hourly rate: $80 for half-day shifts (4 hours or less) and $160 for full-day shifts (5 hours or more)
• Bonus: $650 for completing required training and performing first exams (local candidates only)

Process:

1. VES will email the provider two forms to complete within 48 hours
2. Provider must complete credentialing and DMA training before starting work
3. New Provider Liaison will provide one-on-one training and support during the onboarding process
4. Provider will need to complete a 2-hour PEP session/training before working their first shift
