Job Title: Forklift Operator
Duties:
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to safely and efficiently move materials within the warehouse or distribution center.
- Load and unload trucks, stack and store products in designated areas.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory and update records.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Skills:
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine inspections and minor repairs on forklifts.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems to track inventory and update records.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physical tasks associated with materials handling.
- Familiarity with different types of forklifts, such as cherry pickers and clamp trucks, is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate inventory management.
