Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using various tools and machinery. The objective of the position is to maintain processes, technology and quality assurance in the foundry and ensure smooth production with minimal waste in a clean environment. The holder of the position will oversee the repair of the tools or equipment and try to keep the downtime as short as possible. The Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting production goals.
Duties
- Preparation and set up of the casting cells according to the specifications,
- Ensuring the required quality together with the Quality department,
- Overseeing of tool and/or machine repairs in cooperation with the Tool-service and/or maintenance department,
- Increasing OEE by analyzing downtime and initiating improvements,
- Performing TPM/maintenance on the equipment,
- Melting the aluminum and feeding it into the casting cells,
- Documentation of deviations as well as quality and process problems in shift log,
- Improvement of work processes,
- Monitoring, documentation and archiving of processes.
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the facility.
- Set up tools (dies, trim die, spray head if required, shot sleeve, plunger tip and preheat units included jet cooling ) according to schedule with minimized on down time
- Load and check program for machine, trim press, robot and sprayer, check casting weight on dosing unit
- Start-up machine in automatically cycle and hand over running machine to shift leader die casting or process engineer for fine tuning
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years Casting/Foundry (dies, tooling etc)
