DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk II to support our accounting team. This individual will work primarily within the Munis accounting system to assist with a variety of clerical accounting functions, including processing bills, invoices, purchase orders, and maintaining financial records. The role involves routine accounting duties, with training provided in various areas of clerical accounting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Utilize the Munis accounting system to process and maintain financial records.
- Prepare, assemble, tabulate, and file routine bills, vouchers, invoices, requisitions, and purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable, grants accounting, capital improvement project (CIP), or billing records using an automated accounting system.
- Review, analyze, and interpret accounting reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform basic reconciliations and comparisons of financial data to ensure correctness.
- Proof and verify accounting schedules for consistency and compliance.
- Post journal entries and update ledgers as required.
- Receive ongoing training in various clerical accounting functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall accounting department.
