What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ataku Manager position at Alutiiq, LLC?
Afognak Commercial Group, LLC (ACG) a subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation is currently recruiting for the next Ataku ("Later On") Manager within the Ataku Management Internship Program. Afognak Natice Corporation’s Ataku Management Internship Program is a two-year full-time program designed to provide Afognak Native Corporation Shareholders with the skills and knowledge base necessary for managerial level positions within an Alaska Native Corporation or other business environment.
Must be an Afognak Native Corporation Shareholder.
- Prepare conceptual to definitive techanical and commercial proposals or client projects, includes analysis of proposal documents and drafting proposal.
- Responsible for collecting cost and pricing data, developing the structure of the cost proposal, interfacing technical and operations staff to understand the scope of work.
- Coordinate closely with multiple groups (Legal, Compliance, Risk, etc.) to collect all required information for the proposal.
- Proposal writing and management from pre-proposal preparation through drafting, submission, evaluation notices, final proposal revisions, negotiations, and contract award.
- Perform key cost model reviews during the proposal phase. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Coordinate subcontractor and vendor price quotes.
- Directly interface with customers, subsidiary leadership and SMEs.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant internal policies.
- Formulation of new policies in conjunction with multiple departments under the direction of COO.
- Ensuring all ACG documents and information are shared internally and filed appropriately. Includes establishment of new filing systems when needed.
- Investigate business development opportunities through online research, including completing registration of company in client vendor portals and trade organizations.
- Manage and coordinate review of legal documents with Legal department.
- Miscellaneous communications to ACG clients on behalf of President, Director of Operations, Project Manager, and COO upon occasion.
- Drafting external communications via social media, websites or other corporate communications accounts for multiple ACG subsidiaries.
- Establish relationships/networks of industry professionals.
- Ensure ACG and its subsidiaries diversify into new markets or expand through industry partnerships. Make recommendations to senior leadership based on trends.
- Stay engaged on security and resource development sector news.
- Interface with management regarding business development opportunities, including maintaining a tracking spreadsheet for opportunities and working closely with the President, Director of Ops and COO.
- Identify and make recommendations to improve the communications infrastructure (e.g., access to brand materials, photo and video archive, communications platform)
- Design and manage visual content for ACG publications, online flyers, social media graphics, events, websites, and other communications that reflect and drive awareness of the ACG brand for external communications.
Payrate: $67,590 to $80,785 Annually
Job Requirements:
- Must be an Afognak Native Corporation Shareholder.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost proposal development, technical writing, or procurement. Finance background may serve as substitute if technical writing skills can be verified.
- Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Teams, Share Point, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in designing aesthetically pleasing and well-formatted social media and proposal content, ensuring a polished brand image on all external communications.
- Proficiency in navigating and utilizing a variety of web-based platforms and services, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
- Proven ability to multi-task, with ability to prioritize tasks effectively, while maintaining quality of work and rapid turnaround times.
- Experience in effectively working within team environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with various corporate departments.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality in all work.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience leading opportunities through the entire business development life cycle for prime bids preferred.
