What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Supervisor position at Alutiiq, LLC?
Wednesday Day Shift and Saturday Night Shift, Additional shifts as needed.
Responsibilities include the ability to supervise shift security force personnel and facilitate support to PIADC Security management, PIADC staff, lawenforcement, emergency personnel and operations and maintenance personnel. The Contractor shall ensure that each security force shift is supervised by a Security Shift Supervisor who has the authority to direct, counsel and discipline all security guards assigned to their shift.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Security Shift Supervisor shall ensure that all security officers assigned:
- Are properly trained.
- Perform all duties as specified in accordance with the Contract.
- Are properly uniformed and present a neat and professional appearance as referenced in the
- Security Manual And Resource Tool (SMART) Book by FPS.
- Are thoroughly knowledgeable about their duties and demonstrate the ability to act effectively
- during emergencies or other unusual situations.
- Possess all necessary permits, CPR and first aid certifications, credentials, etc., as required by the contract or by local or state law.
- That is familiar with post orders.
The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for the following including but not limited to:
- Compliance with the Security Shift Supervisor Post Order.
- Supervision and monitoring of assigned security personnel, including fitness for duty determinations and Post Order compliance.
- Direction of security force personnel where existing Post Orders direction needs clarification.
- Collaboration with Assigned Duty Officers on shift activities.
- Notification to off-site emergency response personnel as directed by the Duty Officer, Incident Commander or PIADC Security Manager.
- Notification to the appropriate PIADC management and Duty Officer regarding security incidents.
- The monitoring and verification status of the facility security system, communication system, electronic key control system, fire alarm system and all other PIADC life safety systems monitored through the Security Control Center (SCC).
- The shift supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the PIADC security force to ensure compliance with Post Orders, policies, procedures and plans, the control and accountability of
- equipment and vehicles, and the ability to facilitate communications among the FPS Law.
- Enforcement, local Law enforcement, the security force, and identified PIADC personnel, to include the Operations and Maintenance.
- The proper operation and monitoring of the PIADC radio communication system.
- The timely notification of the chain of command (Security Director, Safety Chief, Duty Officer, Security Specialist, Project Manager, Site Supervisor, etc.
- The accountability of all security vehicles.
- The accountability of equipment (handheld radios, Nextel, night vision goggles, binoculars, first aid kits, bullhorn, guard tour Verification devices, wireless
- readers), and other Contractor acquired or Government owned property.
- The accountability of PIADC keys.
- The monitoring and verification status of Electronic Key Control Management System and Master Keys.
****Any request for Master Keys will be noted in electronic logbook.
- This entry will include individual making request, reason, location, time of request and estimated time of return.
- Any individual requesting the master key to enter other than their own workspace (office etc.) or designated work area (roof etc.) will require a notification and authorization from PIADC Security
- Department (Security Manager or Security Specialist). Shift Supervisor should be cognizant of any request which seems out of the ordinary or suspicious. This will apply to all individuals making
- requests regardless of their title or position at the facility. Master Key will remain in possession of security personnel/security escort.
- The inspection and signing of the control center log, all post logs, and vehicle log.
- Conduct in-service briefing each tour for all security personnel.
- Ensure that all security personnel are updated on duties and responsibilities.
- Inspect all posts for cleanliness and any authorized or offensive items and take corrective action.
- Assigning appropriate Security Officers for containment patrols.
- Verify that all CCV cameras are operational.
- The preparation and submittal of Security Incident Reports
- Safeguarding the entire PIADC operation, to include the Orient Point Parking Facility
- Reporting discrepancies to the PIADC Security Control Center.
- The Security Shift Supervisor will ensure each PSO begins the tour of duty in accordance with the published post orders
- Supervisor(s) shall have a background with a minimum of two years of successful experience in field supervision (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service).
- Supervisor(s) shall also have ISC 300 (Incident Command System) certification - also requires ISC100 / ISC 200 as pre- requisites.
- If an employee lacks experience, listed above, and is selected for a supervisory position, Contractor, by written request, shall provide evidence of similar leadership experience. Acceptance of evidence shall be at discretion of COR.
