Shields Point, LLC has a dynamic opportunity for a Site Lead in support of Security Guard services for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at the John Day Dam at the Lower Columbia River (LCR). The Site Lead reports directly to the Shields Point, LLC Contract Supervisory Manager has the authority to respond to local site issues including scheduling, conduct, personnel, equipment and communication with the customer. The Site Lead may also serve as an Armed Guard when needed.

Job Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Enforces regulations designed to prevent security breaches
- Responds to alarms, complaints, incidents, violations, and suspicious activities, and demonstrates the ability to take the appropriate actions
- Secures/safeguards crime scenes and preserves evidence
- Performs crowd management as required
- Performs personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks, and performs First Aid and CPR, as required
- Completes all required reports, forms, and other documentation per established procedures
- Staffs posts continuously and provides access control
- Controls access to restricted areas
- Reports violations
- Directs and provides information to visitors
- Safeguards all assets
- Provides assistance as required
- Escorts people and equipment as needed
- Conducts foot/vehicle patrols as required
- Monitors unusual situations/conditions through personal or electronic surveillance
- Conducts other assignments in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Demonstrates proficiency in assigning work, directing activities of the armed security team, issuing and retrieving equipment and weapons, establishing coverage for posts, and performing incident command duties
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the client, public safety, employees, and public
- Must be certified to cover Armed Guard posts in accordance with the contract
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Secret Clearance required
- Must be able to obtain an Armed Security License in Oregon/Washington State
- No felony convictions
- Must not be convicted of or under indictment for a crime of domestic violence
- Successfully complete medical examination, annual requirement thereafter
- Successfully complete Physical Fitness assessment
- Must be able to perform security duties, including standing, walking, patrolling, and responding to emergencies
- Must successfully complete all required training, including classroom, firearms, defensive tactics, and online coursework
- Must have a clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Must pass a drug screening
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must speak English fluently, read and comprehend written English
- Requires the ability to communicate professionally internally and externally
