POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Configuration Manger to join our team and support the groundbreaking mission of the Space Force. Responsibilities include technical support required to update and maintain the Interface Control Document (ICD) for Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Mobile Ground System (MGS/ SMGS) and Ground Communications Network (GCN) systems interface to the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment network. Define specific ICD changes for each new government of contractor submitted requirement within the ICD scope.
The Configuration Manager will:
Develop technical content for ICD change packages:
Work with government lead to prepare and coordinate updates
Draft written updates and provide suggested language for ICD.
Produce sharable copies of the ICD following updates.
Assess all approved requirements:
Use standard change forms and Space Force form 1067s to document changes.
Review approved changes for potential impacts for the SBIRS programs and external systems in ICD
ICD Review:
Examine all ICD redline changes submitted by external agencies or other contractors for completeness and possible conflict with existing strategic missile warning computer interfaces.
Internal documentation management:
Oversee subcontractors to ensure a cohesive and aligned workforce across the contract.
Support and Compliance:
Assist company personnel with contract-related data calls and ensure all suspense dates are met.
Perform purchasing duties and approve purchases as needed.
Reporting and Reviews:
Prepare Configuration Management / Data Management plan and maintain Continuity Folders Summary
Maintain classified and unclassified Continuity Folders, prepare and present briefings when
requested.
Multi-Tasking and Leadership:
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, and complex activities or events.
This position is critical for ensuring the success of the contract and requires a proactive, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of related experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, a highly motivated self-starter
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
Clearance: TS/SCI
Preferred Requirements:
Have comprehensive knowledge of the United States Space Command’s Integrated Tactical Warning/ Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) network’s strategic missile warning message flow from infrared provider systems to user platforms both fixed and mobile.
Have the ability to modify or create real time binary and ASCII message formats/ Fields withing ITW/AA network and user systems constraints in response to new or changing requirement and be able to communicate those changes within the user community.
Be able to assess new requirements by examining new internal and external requirements for impacts to the external interfaces of the real time Space Based Infrared Systems fixed and Mobile Ground System and Ground Communications Network program. Additionally working with the requirement originator to clarify requirements and redline changes as necessary, identifying significant issues in writing to the government customer.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail in developing changes to and examining up to 250 pages for correctness per update cycle of a computer systems interface document. Using cross systems knowledge, eliminate potential disconnects with existing interface definitions in the ICD’s classified and unclassified section. Identify, document, and trac all corrections to resolution in Access databases before released to user community.
Have general knowledge or the Infrared Missile Warning Space and Ground Systems. Understanding of satellite detection, ground station processing, message generations, updates and communications paths to user command and control systems as the basis for evaluating or making changes to the ICD.
