What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Set-Up Operator position at Alutrim?
Read and follow process sheets, specifications, work instructions, and procedures to understand the correct placement of parts onto the spray line or spray washer, and how the product should be processed.
Set up spray washer, powder coating booths, tool cleaner system, and furnace for each product run.
Inspect parts for any defects during various stages of the process.
Ensure adherence to process specifications and quality standards, including performing thickness readings and recording on Data Points.
Make necessary adjustments to the system to maintain product quality.
Know how to inspect and package products according to process sheets and specifications, including ensuring the correct parts per hour (PPH) are achieved.
Complete necessary documentation, including Data Points, rework forms, preventative maintenance (PM’s), and other required paperwork, ensuring proper dispositioning and filing.
Perform adherence checks and communicate any issues or defects during product runs.
Assist in training new and temporary employees as needed and collaborate with Material Handlers to assist with labels and boxes.
Maintain housekeeping of the area, ensuring scrap is disposed of correctly, and all materials from previous jobs are stored in their proper locations. Ensure the area is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
