We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team. This position is an internal role within A&M’s Life Sciences operations team, reporting directly to the Managing Director of Finance for Life Sciences.
We value a healthy work-life balance and promote in-person collaboration by providing a flexible hybrid work arrangement with 1 day per week in the office and 4 days remote. You can choose to be based in one of our offices in Dallas, Houston, or New York City.

As a Finance Manager, you’ll be the backbone of ensuring financial stability and growth for our practice, helping us thrive and achieve our goals. The Finance Manager will help facilitate and support all finance functions of the Life Sciences practice, which broadly include strategic planning and budgeting, financial management, and compensation. Compensation Statement:
The annual base salary range is $110,000 to $135,000 commensurate with experience. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

- Partner with the Life Sciences operations and leadership team to prepare our annual budget and continual forecasts
- Liaise with our corporate finance organization to obtain data and analysis in a timely and efficient manner
- Proactively monitor P&L activity, providing variance analyses on spending and collections relative to budget
- Identify drivers for financial stability and suggest creative solutions to improve performance
- Work with project engagement leaders to monitor accuracy and timeliness of client billing, collections of receivables, and support year-end collection activities
- Support the practice in the annual year-end compensation process
- Recommend, develop, and assist with implementation of new processes and tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency
- Provide direction to leadership on effective means of communicating key issues to the practice and firm
- Assist in preparing materials used in periodic leadership meetings
- Coordinate with other business units within A&M to understand firm benchmarks and share or adopt best practices for Life Sciences
- Complete ad-hoc financial projects

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- 3 years of relevant business experience in Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, or similar area
- Strong attention to detail
- Initiative and sound judgment to make appropriate and timely decisions
- Ability to understand and articulate the financial impact of business decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working with data analytic tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines
- Work either independently or with a team
