Position Description: A&M Global Compliance Senior Associate
Summary
The A&M Global Compliance Senior Associate will assist the Senior Director of Global Compliance with activities and projects relating to the ongoing operation and implementation of the Alvarez & Marsal internal Global Compliance program. This includes but is not limited to working with compliance technology platforms, supporting risk assessments, assisting with compliance training and awareness programs and implementing enhanced or new processes in areas such as third-party/vendor risk management and conflicts of interests. The Senior Associate role will also support compliance policy reviews/updates and conduct subject matter specific research as needed.
Responsibilities
Location: New York, NY or Tampa, FL & Remote*
Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Compensation: Base Compensation Pay Range - $100,000 - $120,000 (depending upon experience and location)

Summary

This includes but is not limited to working with compliance technology platforms, supporting risk assessments, assisting with compliance training and awareness programs and implementing enhanced or new processes in areas such as third-party/vendor risk management and conflicts of interests. The Senior Associate role will also support compliance policy reviews/updates and conduct subject matter specific research as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support the continued implementation of the firm’s governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platform and related technologies and processes, with a specific focus on third-party/vendor risk management (i.e., intake, screening and risk evaluation)
- Assist with the handling of conflicts of interest queries and related processes such as the monitoring of outside activities and interests and the administration of related questionnaires, surveys, etc. to A&M professionals
- Support various risk assessment processes, including but not limited to the enterprise-wide/compliance risk assessment, and firm-wide/global risk management initiatives
- Provide assistance with the creation, review and/or enhancement of compliance policies and procedures
- Support the development of compliance communications, including awareness campaigns on compliance topics for the firm and maintenance/development of new content for the Global Compliance intranet site (on a SharePoint platform)
- Assist in the development of new or enhanced compliance training, including conducting research and assembling training presentations for live and/or online training courses
- Provide support with antifraud and financial crime prevention efforts, including anti-money laundering processes and the assessment of newly promulgated sanctions by relevant regulatory authorities to ascertain any impact on firm clients or activities
- Assist with the management and completion of client, vendor and third-party due diligence questionnaires, and update a related frequently asked question log as needed
- Monitor and conduct research on relevant global legal and regulatory developments, including but not limited to topics such as: anti-bribery/corruption, antitrust and fair competition, conflicts of interest, insider/responsible trading, and sanctions
- Interact and liaise with other key global stakeholders, including but not limited to other members of the firm’s Legal Department as well as professionals from the Global Security Office, Human Resources/People function, Audit, IT, Finance, Knowledge Management and the firm’s business units
- Support other projects as requested, including managing requests and questions submitted to the Global Compliance department
- 2 years of compliance or related experience
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Significant project management skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Office365 products
- Familiarity to GRC and/or other compliance enabling technologies
- Experience working in a professional setting
- Authorized to work in US

- This is a hybrid in-office role based in either our New York or Tampa office. This team member will be expected to be in the office at least three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday being preferred.
