Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Craft exceptional coffee experiences: Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and related products with precision and care
- Connect with guests: Build rapport with customers, provide personalized recommendations, and ensure a memorable experience
- Thrive in a dynamic environment: Excel in a fast-paced setting while also demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness during slower periods
- Champion cleanliness and safety: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in all aspects of your work
- Foster an inclusive and positive team environment: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a culture of excellence where everyone feels welcome and valued
- Experience: 1 year of experience in a specialty (third-wave) coffee shop strongly preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Excellent active listening, memorization, and recall abilities
- Knowledge of specialty brewing equipment operation preferred
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Roasting knowledge,experience, or interest is also a plus
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Availability: Flexible schedule with some weekend availability preferred, and the ability to start early in the morning
