TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY
The Science Department in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics at Alvernia University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Biology beginning August 2025. We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in Biology, with a primary focus in Molecular Biology and/or Computational Biology, and evidence of quality teaching experience and scholarly productivity. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate biology courses, advising students, engaging in service to the university, and developing a research program appropriate for the undergraduate level. Those with prior biomedical research are encouraged to apply. Prior experience teaching introductory courses in Principles of Biology, Microbiology, and/or Human Anatomy & Physiology is also desirable. Upper-level course areas may include Pharmacology, Cell Biology, and Genetics.
