WHAT WILL YOU DO
This individual is responsible for Patient Service Center (PSC) phlebotomy and clerical functions, including scheduling staff, assisting with performance appraisals and maintaining files. He/she ensures timely completion of departmental day-to-day activities including all specimen collections, ensuring accurate and thorough data entry of patient information. Other duties include assisting with reference tests and site correspondence, assisting with billing as needed, assisting with statistical reports as needed and other related duties. If Patient Service Center (PSC) is responsible for nursing homes, this individual will oversee the scheduling system and manage the on-call rotation for phlebotomy. This individual will work closely with other PSC coordinators to maintain a high-level service for all PSC's.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years' college with associate degree or BS/BA preferred.
Three (3) years' experience in phlebotomy and one (1) year experience in laboratory clerical duties or have 5 years relevant experience including at least 2 years of supervising others.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
