Job Title: Child Development Volunteer

Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to serve as a Non-Paid Volunteer in our Child Development Program. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing lesson plans and creating developmentally appropriate learning environments.
• Support the preparation of materials and supplies for the classroom, including activities that promote physical and emotional growth.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children in their care, including managing medical needs and responding to emergencies.
• Collaborate with staff members to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with parents, students, and other educational institutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Child Development/Early Childhood education principles and practices.
• Teaching experience with young children.

Work Environment: The incumbent typically works in an early childhood classroom environment, with frequent interruptions and occasional lifting of children (10-60 lbs.).
Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, or bend.
