We are seeking a passionate Peer Support Specialist to connect and build supportive, pro-social relationships with participants in a jail setting that result in a personalized pathway to recovery, post-incarceration. Assist participants with establishing new social networks that support a lifestyle in recovery. Meet with participants frequently to assure that the transition from incarceration to the community has multiple layers of support. Provide continuous support until the participant feels comfortable with his new positive, peer network. Exercise a healthy level of empathy, compassion and understanding with all recovery participants.
Requirements :
- Certification required National Certified Peer Specialist (NCPS)
