Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to oversee all individuals entering and exiting the facility. Employees will be always responsible for monitoring client whereabouts to provide for the safety and security of the facility and the community. Perform duties in accordance with the mission and goals of the agency and the corresponding with agency/governing body policies, procedures, and contracts. Employees will engage with clients on a consistent basis and utilize cognitive behavioral techniques to foster and promote healthy decisions making and a positive interpersonal skill. Employees may be required to assist with onboarding of staff, as well as facilitate client structures activates, as needed. May be required to work overtime, fill in for absent workers, as needed, to maintain mandatory staffing levels for a 24/7/365 operation.

Job Status:
- 1-Full-time Male 1st shift
- 1-Full-time 2nd shift (2p-10p) every other weekend OFF
- 1-Full-time 2nd shift (3p-11p) every other weekend OFF
- 1-Part-time Male 2nd shift (4p-9p five days a week)
- 1-Full-time 2nd shift supervisor (2p-10p) every other weekend OFF
May be required to work mandatory overtime.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Operations Supervisor/Program Manager/Program Director
Essential Functions:
- Perform client intake procedure
- Conduct and document routine interior and exterior checks of the facility (including client counts)
- Report maintenance issues and needed repairs to Maintenance ticketing system
- Conduct, observe, and document urine and/or breathalyzer drug and alcohol testing for all clients
- Ensure safety of clients and the community-at-large by reinforcing clients’ positive pro-social behavior(s) and holding clients accountable for negative behaviors through observing, documenting, and reporting violations in accordance with agency protocols
- Conduct and document contraband searches of the facility, clients (including physical touch pat-down searches), and client property (including phone searches)
- Supervise internal and external clean-up and maintenance of the facility conducted by clients
- Complete supply inventory records
- Ensure designated areas are kept secure/locked
- Count and document client medication(s); disperse medication(s) to client and monitor for compliance
- Coordinate with agency food vendor to ensure accurate client meal counts; and receipt of sack lunches, late trays, and special dietary meals
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings
- Brief incoming staff on shift activates verbally and via shift log documentation
- Transport clients as needed utilizing agency vehicles
- Administer emergency interventions, including CPR, First Aid, AED, and Narcan (Naloxone) as needed
- Engage clients on a consistent basis utilizing behavior management programs and cognitive behavioral tools (e.g., role playing, mirroring, reflecting) in order to promote and foster the agency’s pro-social culture
- Participate in pro-social engagement and activities with clients
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and files
- Utilize effective problem-solving, de-escalation, prioritization, time management, and organizational strategies
- Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills
- Attend outside training conferences and/or seminars, in-service training sessions as required or assigned to increase professional knowledge and skills; apply new, relevant methodologies to meet client needs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimal Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
Travel Requirements:
- This position requires dame day out of office automobile travel approximately 25-50% of the time
- This position requires multiple day out of town overnight travel approximately 0-5% of the time
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching outward, reaching above the shoulder, climbing, squatting/kneeling, and bending
- The ability to lift 10-100lbs
- The ability to push and pull 10-100lbs
- Near, distance, peripheral and depth perception vision
- General sense of sound and touch

Work Environment: May be exposed to harsh language and potentials violent clients, as well as unusual noises and odors. Extenuating circumstance may exceed normal physical demands
Other Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must remain in compliance with all the requirements of county, state, and/or federal regulations; contracts; and all applicable licensing authorities
- Must have skills in use of a personal computer and related equipment and software
- Must remain in compliance with training requirements
