Career Details:
We are seeking a passionate Facilities Director to be responsible for administration management of Alvis maintenance operations, safety and security, grounds and landscaping. Use independent judgment in significant matters when coordinating and planning for inspections, recommend repairs and improvements for the facilities and grounds in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment for clients and staff. Coordinate and supervise facility renovations. Represent Alvis in day-to-day contacts with contractors, vendors, architects and engineers in connection with facility renovations and/or construction. Interface and coordinate activities with local government agencies as it pertains to maintaining certifications and licensing for Alvis’ licensed facilities/houses.
Qualifications:
Education: Associates’ degree or graduation from an accredited trade program. Relevant experience in the building or facilities management arena may be considered in lieu of a degree.
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
Experience:
Five or more years of successful administrative experience in facilities maintenance or a closely related field. Demonstrated a high level of effective leadership skills. Experience analyzing problems and developing action plans.
Positive interpersonal skills to work professionally and establish effective and collaborative relationships with staff, clients, community members, and other agencies. Excellent technical competencies in a variety of areas, including the use of technology, mathematical skills, writing/editing, organization, problem solving, and multitasking. Thorough knowledge of principles and practices related to the management of maintenance, custodial, warehouse, and landscape activities. Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, electrical, grounds care, buildings, preventative maintenance of facility mechanicals, carpentry, recreation equipment and safety. Working knowledge of all applicable NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and City/State codes and regulations that apply to the Facilities and Maintenance Department.
VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
Skills and Abilities: Computer Skills: Proficient in all Microsoft office applications and skilled in operation of personal computer, peripheral equipment (e.g., copier, fax, printers).
