We are seeking a passionate Peer Support Specialist to connect and build supportive relationships with participants in a court setting that result in a personalized pathway to recovery. Assist participants with establishing new social networks that support a lifestyle in recovery. Meet with participants frequently to assure that the transition back into the community has multiple layers of support. Provide continuous support until the participant feels comfortable with his new positive, peer network. Exercise a healthy level of empathy, compassion and understanding with all recovery participants. Provide updated information to the Specialized Docket treatment team about participant progress, accomplishments, and challenges. Participate in team meetings, staffing, and status review hearings to collaborate with team members, facilitate linkage, and offer support to participants and the program.
